High Plains Library District gives back to our community through the donation of gently used technology, including desktop computers, all-in-one computers, laptops, and iPads. In order to qualify to receive a donation, your organization must be: a non-profit or school, within the HPLD service area (Weld County & Erie), able to purchase OS replacements, and able to pick up your donation on the designated date.  

Please submit only one application per site. You may make changes to your application or check the status of your request at any time by logging into your account at highplains.submittable.com/login. 

*Note: High Plains Library District inspects and intends to send out only working, high quality tech equipment, if a donated unit is non-functional after receipt HPLD cannot provide any tech support or guarantee replacement of any unit. HPLD cannot accept returns of donated equipment. 




As part of the District's vision to serve as an incubator for the arts and further our mission of "connecting communities to inspiration for life", the High Plains Library District Foundation (HPLD Foundation) is proud to announce our 2021 Writer in Residence program.

The Goal of the High Plains Library District Foundation's Writer in Residence program is to support the creative process of one writer during a 9-month time period so they may complete a manuscript with the intent to publish. 

The resident's work can be of any style or genre but must be related to the High Plains Library District Service area in subject matter. Applicants must reside within the High Plains Library District boundaries (see map), must be an HPLD cardholder, must be at least 18 years of age, and must be willing to commit to all associated duties of the residency. Applicants may be published or unpublished. 

These duties include:

  • Appear at HPLD events
  • Work with HPLD staff to develop relevant programming
  • Work with social media manager to create online content (blog, posts)
  • Agree to MOU
  • Commit to 9 continuous months in 2021

In order to insure the fairness of our blind judging process, DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR NAME ON APPLICATION MATERIALS. 

The application will close March 1st at 11:59pm.
